Vinyl Music Records:
RE-muse; The Dancers
REmuse
REmuse is a decade-long body of work transforming discarded vinyl records into expressive figurative sculptures.
Each piece is created from a single record, reshaped through heat without adding or removing material. The original label remains intact, preserving the identity of the music within the form.
These works explore the relationship between sound and movement, turning static objects into dynamic, human-like forms.
Materials are sourced from DJs, collectors and record shops, giving new life to damaged or unplayable records. Commissions often commemorate meaningful songs, dates and memories.
Dancers
Inspired by the movement in Henri Matisse’s La Danse and the expressive forms of Degas’ ballerinas, the Dancers series captures the physical response to music.
Each sculpture reflects the immediacy of the process - the vinyl reacting to heat as the human body responds instinctively to rhythm and emotion.
