Valkyries
Interpretations of figures from Norse mythology, the Valkyries series explores strength, movement and transformation.
Each sculpture is created through the heated manipulation of reclaimed vinyl records. Multiple fragments are fused together, with original labels removed to strip both material and meaning back to form.

Stitch-Up
A series of plaster-cast female figures, Stitch-Up is the on-going exploration of the use of a single classical mould.
Each piece is uniquely altered through variations in texture, colour and surface imperfection, transforming a repeated form into one-off contemporary sculptures.

Seona Mason’s practice is rooted in formal fine art training in ceramics at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee.
While her materials have evolved — spanning bronze, wood and mixed media — her focus on the human form remains central. Her work ranges from intimate pieces to over life-size sculpture, combining traditional techniques with contemporary materials.
